“Misrach Fre” means “Fruit of Misrach” and “Misrach” itself means “Good News”. Misrach Fre was formed in 2003 by members of the Misrach Group. It started with 3 ladies who had physical disabilities (two had polio and one was deaf), but there are now a total of 14 ladies in the group.

“The most important help we have got through this order is the dignity and respect that it has given us. For me this has helped us a lot more than the help we have got from the money itself. I am not denying the benefits that we have got from the business though. This is really important to us. But when you have a job, the first credit you get is the dignity and respect given by friends, family and society. Now we are no longer a burden to our family. Secondly, the work helped us to extend our blessings to others. We knew that we couldn’t make all these orders without the help of other employees. I am very happy about that. We are very much blessed from our work. And now I support my family and myself. And we are saving the remaining money for our future expansion project. Things are much better today than yesterday. Now I believe in my job and the quality of the products that I make. And when you believe in your job, you have faith that your products will sell.” - Sheshige is one of the founding members of Misrach Fre.
